The Call to Adventure
(the call of adventure is to) a forest, a kingdom underground, beneath the waves, or above the sky, a secret island, lofty mountaintop, or profound dream state; but it is always a place of strangely fluid and polymorphous beings, unimaginable torments, super human deeds, and impossible delight. The hero can go forth of his own volition to accomplish the adventure, as did Theseus when he arrived in his father's city, Athens, and heard the horrible history of the Minotaur; or he may be carried or sent abroad by some benign or malignant agent as was Odysseus, driven about the Mediterranean by the winds of the angered god, Poseidon. The adventure may begin as a mere blunder... or still again, one may be only casually strolling when some passing phenomenon catches the wandering eye and lures one away from the frequented paths of man. Examples might be multiplied, ad infinitum, from every corner of the world. [Joseph Campbell. The Hero with a Thousand Faces. Princeton: Princeton University Press, 1968, p. 30 / Novato, California: New World Library, 2008, p. 48]
I am an American mystic and pilgrim who is here to show that the gods we're told are symbolic or fodder for fairy tales exist in concrete reality. In spite of being raised in a large metropolitan American city, my circumstances uncompromisingly proved to me there is more to reality than I've been taught and that there are Beings interacting with us no matter our circumstance or religion. This will take changing how we as a society and culture understand "magical thinking."

I lived in Chicago all but the first 3 years of my life. Chicago is where I grew up, went to school, met my husband and with him raised a family. I befriended a French Druidic Priest online in 2018, and because of my interest in ecumenical pilgrimages, he invited me to visit with him and his beloved in Provence France. This "visit" turned into a 3 months pilgrimage where he morphed into my very own sherpa who took me to ancient ruins and early Christian sites on top of mountains and then back down to Saintes Marie de la Mer on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
One of our fun excursions was participating in a Celtic Faire shortly before I came home. Valery Raydon, a 42 year old PhD in Ancient Civilizations had a booth where he played bagpipes to promote his 7th book Le Cortege du Graal. I was entranced by The Call of his bagpipes and he was interested in my obsession with The Hunt. Between his personal Grail quest and my love of Magick, we've been in touch ever since.
TOO MANY PEOPLE HAVE INTERACTIONS WITH GODS AND ARE AFRAID OF ADMITTING IT, SO LET'S USE MYTH, SCIENCE OR WHATEVER MEANS WE CAN TO RETHINK THE TERM METAPHYSICAL. AND SINCE YOU PROBABLY BELIEVE MY CLAIMS ARE FANTASY, LET'S PRETEND WE'RE IN A WORLD WHERE QUANTUM PHYSICS HAS DEVISED STRING THEORY WHICH PROVIDES MULTIVERSES. OUR MULTIVERSE HOSTS LIVE IN DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS. WE ARE IN THE 4TH DIMENSION AND BEINGS FROM THE 6TH DIMENSION INTERACT WITH US AS THEY HAVE ALWAYS HAVE.
What to expect?
A work in progress. Other than a very few exceptions, the pictures I used here I took with my host Jean Marc. There will be more than one Path represented here, though the one I'm using is Campbell's Hero's Journey. But to make it most effective think of this website as an art studio or perhaps a laboratory. No matter your perspective, it's about a personal pilgrimage though not necessarily mine as each experience is seen through its own sight and understanding. I can say this: anyone searching for Gods and how they contribute to a true adventure live in a mythic reality. The fact that presently it is unlikely my world will take such things seriously which makes for an excellent topic to explore. As supernatural beings have been great helpers universally throughout history, it seems a most tantalizing opportunity to find a concrete nonsymbolic means to an inner adventure. Afterall, we could consider gods a most magickal aspect to bridging between our most cynical modern perspectives.Resolving such a mystery could be at least one contribution that we as human beings can offer our ever expanding universe.
